Elf Putty Primer Review

By Glow Up Beauty Blog - November 20, 2020

These products are deemed as 'holy grail'. I knew I wanted to try these out, especially because the price point is fantastic and ELF is so easily available almost everywhere in the world. I ordered a few lip and eyeshadow products from Elf and picked up the Poreless Putty Primer and Monochromatic multi-stick at the same time.

Elf Poreless Putty Primer - RRP £8

This skin perfecting poreless putty primer is infused with Squalane to help grip makeup for all-day wear and help protect skin from moisture loss. The velvety texture glides effortlessly over the skin, smoothing over imperfections for a poreless effect. - Boots Uk website

The Poreless Putty Primer from Elf is a cult product no doubt - priced reasonable £8 and widely available, this little primer pot has made the beauty community rave about it. I ordered this finally to try it out and see if it would work on my partner's acne prone skin with enlargened pores.

The primer is a thick creamy texture and it is light beige is colour that diffuses to the skin and leaves no colour in the end. It visibly fills in pores and makes skin feel soft and ready for foundation. The primer is infused with hydrating squalene and antioxidant-rich green tea extract.

Overall this worked so well on both mine and my partner's skin. I would recommend anyone to try this.

Monochromatic Multi-Stick in Luminous Berry - RRP £5
This versatile, multi-use stick can be used on your eyes, lips and cheeks for a soft, glowy, monochromatic look. Use this shimmery, luxuriously blendable cream-to-powder stick as your eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush for a cohesive, monochromatic look. The lightweight, blendable formula makes it virtually mistake proof and perfect for touch-ups on the go. - Elf Uk website

Another item that has been widely talked about and gotten a lot of positive reviews is the elf monochromatic multi-use stick. I picked up the shade Luminous Berry to try out, while I was a bit worried about the monochromatic look it turned out to be an amazing product. It does what it promises, its blendable cream to powder formula that feels like nothing on the skin. It is lightweight and super easy to use.

It can be used with a heavy hand for more opaque and intense shade or blended out a flush of colour.

I use this mostly on my cheeks as a blush and it works so well - it blends down easily and leaves lovely flushed look to the skin - no glittery or over shimmery finish at all. I have tried this also on my lips which works fine. Overall super excited about this product.
