Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara mini

I have been on a hunt for a new mascara for a while. My old-time favourite L'oreal Lash Paradise is still my stable everyday mascara but lately, I have been wanting to try more luxury mascaras to see if they really are better than drugstore ones.

When Pillow Talk Mascara was teased online I knew I wanted to get one to try out, the packaging looked super gorgeous and the marketing images of the mascara showed a wand that I knew I would love. Also the before and after pictures were amazing. Here is my review:

Packaging
The packaging feels super luxurious, it feels way more premium than other luxury mascara's I have tried. The component is heavy, the cap is gold with unique shape and the pink part feels ceramic. Overall the packaging is on point and the money's worth.

The Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara promises:
  • Instant volume & length
  • 24H Vertical lift & hold by lash-lifting polymer derived from the Larch Tree
  • Smudge & humidity-proof
  • Contains - Charlotte Tilbury's patented Kerestore™ 2.0 Keratin creates a super-strong conditioning effect on individual hair fibres to create a thicker-look and feel on the lashes
The mascara really delivers instant volume and length and I really like the idea of lash-lifting polymer, but in real life, I'm not sure how much 'lash lifting and hold' I'm really seeing. I have super straight fine eyelashes that I like to curl with home lash-lifting kit every month to keep them nice and curled. I also use eyelash curlers every time I use mascara, to keep this in mind I can't really give an opinion on the lash lifting. I'm interested, has anyone seen lifting effect with this?

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara Wand

The wand:

Innovative brush lifts like air, vertically painting each individual lash with pro precision, injection moulded paddle brush with ‘load, comb & lift’ technology. Diamond-shaped bristles on each side of the brush follow the lash architecture, reading the fan of the lashes for a magnifying & amplifying eye-opening effect. The flat sided reservoir loads the perfect amount of product for ultimate double lash line definition & jet black intensity. - from space nk website

So let's talk about the wand. I really, really like it. The idea is that the flat part of the brush loads up the mascara and with the bristles, you comb through the lashes to spread and lengthen. I really enjoy the shape of the brush, but have to admit - it is a bit messy. You really need to work it to the lashes to get the proper amount of the mascara, but on a good side, this works amazingly on the lower lash line.

The formula & overview:

I really, really like this mascara and I'm hoping that as I'm using the formula it will thicken so it would take a bit less time to apply it on my lashes. While this won't be my everyday go-to mascara because overall the application takes a bit of time, I still enjoyed the mascara a lot and could see myself purchasing another one when this runs out. I will update my thoughts when I finish the mascara!

Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes mini retails for £12 and full-size for £23.
