I have never tried Kevyn Aucoin's makeup products before, but when I saw them on TKmaxx for £9.90 and £5.99 I purchased them immediately. I got two products:
- Jewelpop Face & Eye Palette £9.90
£47 - Jewelpop Glass Glow Mini Lip Collection £5.99
£20
Jewelpop Face & Eye Palette
Crushed jewel tones in rich pigments for a stunning, bejeweled transformation in one easy-to-use, all-in-one, face and eye palette. Intense pigments combined with velvety rich textures blends with ease and are perfect for layering. - Kevyn Aucoin website
I have fallen in love with this palette! While this palette definitely wouldn't work for everyone as a face palette, it fit well with my porcelain pale skin. The blushes and the contour shade really worked well on my skin tone and I loved the Rose Quartz blusher's two tones - highlighter and matte shade.
The eyeshadows are a good mix of shimmers, pressed pigments and mattes, while I would have loved a warm matte brown shade, I was able to use the cool brown contour shade as a blending shade.
There are two pressed pigments:
Citrine
Topaz
There are three shimmer shades:
Ruby
Emerald
Mahongy
There is one matte shade:
Moonstone
I really love this palette, the eyeshadows are good quality, the colour scheme beautiful and the pressed pigments show stopping. I don't know if I would repurchase this for £47 as it is very expensive compared to the size of the palette, but if this would be more around £25, then definitely.

Jewelpop Glass Glow Mini Lip Collection
Why choose one Glass Glow Lip shade when you can have four! This new, limited edition collection includes two collectible shades in gold and clear. The moisturising, comfortable, lip colour delivers a high-shine, reflective look to lips. The non-tacky formula glides on with ease, leaving a glossy finish. - Lookfantastic website
Prism rose - rose gold shimmer gloss
Spectrum bronze - bronze golden shimmer gloss
Gold Beam - clear gloss with golden glitter
Brilliant Glass - clear gloss
The packaging on these four mini lip glosses is very elegant - clear tubes with black caps and white applicators. The applicator itself is a good size making it easy to apply to lips. I really enjoyed using these glosses.
Now the negative and why I'm not surprised these were discounted to £5.99 on TKmaxx. After trying these out once or twice the tubes started leaking everywhere from the top of the tubes. Sticky lip gloss went everywhere. While I still have one shade that hadn't leaked the Spectrum bronze I can see on the top of the tube is starting to open up. I might try to superglue the top but for others, I needed to throw them out. I think this is a manufacturing fault, but I feel a bit cheated by selling these products to the consumers anyway, even through Tkmaxx. I know brand's don't want to throw stock out but I think this case they should have just got rid of these.
I would not repurchase these or any tube formulas for Kevyn because of this unfortunately.
